Pre-History

History is by definition something written down and chronological.  However there were people before there was writing.  Oral tradition, religious texts, myths and legends all inform our understanding of history.  That is what this page is all about.

A couple of disclaimers:

1. If a religious figure like Jesus or Muhammad is known to have lived at a particular point in history I will include them on the regular timeline. If a religious figure, like Noah or Gilgamesh has dates unknown they will be included here. This is not a judgement on the historicity of the person, it is just an organizational decision. 
2. I have a pretty good knowledge of people, places and events that pertain to Christianity.  I will list things from other religions and philosophies.  If I have made any sort of mistake in my listings, please contact me, or comment so I can fix my mistake. Thank You!
