Resource: podcast
Running Time: 1:14 hour

Time: 1400s
Place: France

Summary:
Historian Dan Jones converses with Helen Castor about her new book on Joan of Arc. This podcast is really less of a blow by blow of Joan's life than a discussion on how and when information on Joan was made available.  Her trial was one of the most recorded events in Medieval history, yet eyewitness accounts of her death did not appear until almost 25 years after the fact.  They talk extensively about the time when Joan lived and some of the political nuances.  Helen's writing and research is also discussed.
