Sense and Sensibility the motion picture [1995]

A romantic tale of love and money.

Resource: feature film
Running Time: 2:16 hrs
Rating: PG

Time:1811
Place: England

Summary:
In this film of sumptuous historical costume and picturesque scenery, Regency England is almost another character. Although this is really a nice boy meets girl kind of film the 17th century costume, language, decorum and detail is rich enough to warrant a viewing.

A short note on the date.  There is not a specific date for the story.  The book Sense and Sensibility was first published in 1811 which is the first year of the regency era, so it would make sense that the book was written in a prior time, but the movie costumes are clearly regency, and people seem to think of Jane Austin as a regency author, so I chose the date 1811 for the placement on the timeline.
