Summary:
Edgar Allen Poe was a sad child raised by a foster family.  He wrote from the time he was in his teens and worked hard at his craft.  His primary work was as a literary critic and was often quite harsh.  His career as a writer was up and down until he wrote "The Raven".  His death is quite mysterious. This short biography is a concise summary of his life, presented by a narrator with expert opinions, photos of the author and illustrations from some of his work.
