Summary:
George Washington was general of the Continental Army but he also was the leader of another army of spies.  This book follows Washington from the time of the French and Indian War through the end of the Revolutionary War.  He called upon several individuals to spy out enemy activity including civilians and women.  The book also discusses Nathan Hale and Benedict Arnold.  Various codes and ciphers are also explained.  Maps and black and white illustrations embellish the text. There are several interesting appendixes including a detailed timeline and a code used by one of Washington's spies.

Potentially Objectionable Content:
There is mention of violence and hangings, the punishment of spies caught.
