Summary:
A boy is born into the Lakota Sioux.  He is given the childhood name Slow because he is deliberate in everything he does.  He grows up strong and learns the ways of his people and the horse.  At age fourteen he distinguishes himself and receives a new name.  A name you and I know this Lakota chief, Sitting Bull. Joseph Bruchac is a master story teller.  The book is illustrated in full color.
