Resource: Coloring Book
Time: 500 - 1500
Place: England, France

Summary:
More than just pretty pictures to color, this book offers a great overview to the Middle Ages.  Described by the author the Middle ages are the time between the fall of Rome and the Reformation, approximately 500 to 1500.  He does a really good job in his descriptions of the pages reminding the reader that the people of Europe, specifically England and France were recovering from the absence of the Roman Empire.  He details all aspects of castle and village life, including knights, lords, ladies, eating, trades, lodging, justice, education, religion, and just generally everyday life.  While this book is not specifically chronological in order, he does make mention of the Roman Empire at the beginning of the book and how the Middle Ages ended with extended trade at the end of the book.  There are black line illustrations appropriate for coloring.  This is a Dover coloring book.

Potentially Objectionable Content:
There is depiction of battle with a head wound visible.
