Resource: picture book
Time: 1950

Summary:
Jackson Pollock painted like nobody else. He sprayed and splatter on the canvas laid out on the floor. Action Jackson is an imagined telling of how he painted Lavendar Mist in the summer of 1950 based on first hand accounts of others on how he acted and painted.  There is a nice two page biography in the back of the book, two and half pages of notes and sources, as well as a bibliography. It is artfully illustrated in full color by Robert Andrew Parker.
