Resource: picture book, fiction
Time: 1901 - 1909
Place: America

Summary:
This is a lighthearted romp of what might have happened when President Taft got stuck in the bathtub.  He calls most of the cabinet, each with an idea befitting his office and the Vice President is ready to be sworn in a President.  Not only is this book a lot of fun to read, but it also introduces some important details about the American government such as the cabinet and the order of succession to President in time of emergency.  There is an interesting author's note at the end of the book with a picture of one of Taft's custom made bathtubs.  Did President Taft actually get stuck in the bathtub?  There is no conclusive evidence that he did but there is also a wonderful list of facts pertaining to President Taft and bathtubs at the end of the book. The book is illustrated in full color by Chris Van Dusen.

Potentially Objectionable Content:
There is a great deal of presidential nakedness, he is in the tub after all, but it is done tactfully.
