Summary:
The Grand Mosque of Paris was built in 1926.  The land was given by the government of France to thank the Muslims who helped them during World War I.  It stands as a sanctuary in the city of Paris. During World War II they helped in whatever ways they could. Giving sanctuary, misleading documents, and ways out of the the city during a dark time of persecution.  The author has cobbled together incidents mostly from oral reports where the Muslims of the Mosque helped people.  It is beautifully illustrated in full color.

Potentially Objectionable Content:
War is ugly.  There is some description (no pictures) of the conditions that Jews had to endure during the occupation.  There is also the mention of death camps and how many survived, including small children.
