Summary:
It is the day of the Boston Tea Party.  That day when the Sons of Liberty decide to make a statement to the crown of England that they are unhappy with the new taxes.  This book follows Ethan, the paperboy for the printers, as he goes about the town doing his job.  Each page is written in the first person voice of the various people employed at various kinds of work throughout the city.  In this book many different kinds of people are heard including men, children, women of various stations, a slave and a native american.  All talk about the kind of work that they do and their opinion of the taxes and what to do with the three tea ships in Boston Harbor.  The book culminates in the Boston Tea party.  After the story there is three pages with historical notes on all the people, a glossary and further reading suggestions. This book is beautifully illustrated in full color by Larry Day.
