Resource: picture book, biography
Time: 1887 - 1986
Place: America

Summary:
Georgia O'Keeffe saw the world.  The landscapes of her life keep her company as she puts them onto paper.  She lived in different places throughout her life.  She wanted to be an artist in a time when women simply did not become artist, but she did. She painted things as she saw them, flowers and skulls and landscapes. This beautiful book is written in sparse verse with an intent focus on the art.  There is a page of more prosaic biography at the end.  It is beautifully illustrated in full color paintings by Julie Paschkis.
