Resource: picture book
Time: 1763 - 1791
Place: America

Summary:
This book is written with a good deal of sass and spirit.  It touches on the lives of the many, many women who helped win the Revolutionary War.  It includes, mothers, spies, knitters, nurses, soldiers, seamstresses, scouts, blacksmiths, poets, printers, Native Americans and slaves. Many of these women were new to me.  Along the bottom of each page runs a timeline of the events between 1763 and 1791 (plus a few other dates important to women's history).  Cleverly illustrated by Matt Faulkner

Potentially Objectionable Content:
Women had to do some rather unpleasant things, like shooting men, one incident is recorded and illustrated (tastefully) in this book.
