Summary:
This delightfully illustrated book chronicles the life of naturalist Charles Darwin from his precocious boyhood to his old age. The majority of the book is spent telling the tale of the time he spent on a voyage to South America on the ship the Beagle.  He was aboard the ship as a naturalist to explore and record all the nature that could be found in South America and some Pacific islands.  Those discoveries cultivated in Darwin's mind the ideas for the Origin of Species, his famous book.  This biography talks about not only his adventures, but also his beliefs.
