Summary:
This is a sweet children's book that describes the things that make life go round in a 16th century farm. In the Ox Cart Man loads up his cart with all the things the farm produces throughout the year: candles, wool, brooms, and maple syrup.  Then he walks to the big town to sell it all down the cart and ox, buys a few things then goes back home where he and his gentle family will do it all again throughout the year.  Spending the winter making a new ox cart, the spring shearing sheep, and the summer planing vegetables so he can do it all again.
