Summary:
Caroline Herschel grew up in Germany, then joined her brother in England as his housekeeper and assistant.  Caroline's brother, William Herschel, discovered Uranus. He was in the midst of a career change from a musician to an astronomer.  She helped him in his astronomy and thus gained access to the astronomical community.  Caroline made several important astronomical discoveries including comets and nebulae.  After her brother's death she returned to Germany where she lived out the rest of her life. Holly and Tracey provide the story of her life in their usual personable way with lot of attention to detail.  You can find show notes with a lovely bibliography on the Stuff You Missed In History Class Website.
