Resource: YouTube video
Running Time: 5:07 minutes

Time: 1800s, 1900s
Place: America/England

Summary:
Women in England received the right to vote in 1919 and American women, with the ratification of the 19th amendment in 1920 American women get the same right.  This short, yet powerful video highlights some of the ways that women fought for and ultimately won that vote.  It is subtle but some of the ways that are mentioned are women picketing, being arrested, committed to mental institutions, forced feedings when they refused to eat in protest.  It also touches on the roll of men and  President Wilson, women against suffrage, and how it all affected the average woman.
